![]() Interestingly, I have no issue burning the same folder/files using the Apple Mac’s built in disc burning function. This did not resolve the issue and the same burning issue remains. I then bought and installed Toast 10 Titanium. When I uninstalled it I used the detailed Roxio directions to ensure that all leftover system files were deleted. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Toast 9 multiple times. I cannot correlate it any software or hardware changes. Toast 9 had been burning fine and burning correctly, but then it simply stopped burning correctly. I varied the location of the files to burn, including placing them on the desktop to vary the file path. However when these same files are nested in a folder then the above error occurs. Whenever, I try to burn a Data CD or DVD I receive the following error: Could Not Record the Disc Because a File Couldn’t be Found – Result Code = -43Ī CD or DVD will burn when it includes only files. I have an unresolved issue using Roxio Toast 9 & Toast 10 Titanium. The burner is an LG BPO6LU10 (ROM version HL03) Super multi Blue Blu-ray Disk Rewriter. I don't think the Mac going into sleep mode has anything to do with this. It is currently stuck writing track 1 at 69% with 4.09 minutes remaining to completion. Sometimes the DVD burns led continues flashing. Also the DVD's icon disappears from the Desktop and details of the drive disappear from my "About this Mac" report. Even if the 'Cancel' button is not greyed out, selecting it does nothing. ![]() There is no error message and mostly the only way forward is to force quit Toast. On one occasion it stopped during disk verification. When copying from one DVD to another using 'Disc copy' in Toast 10 the burn sticks at various stages midway through writing Track 1. ![]() It is the latest update available as far as I can tell because the "About Toast 10 Titanium" Info box comes up blank. I'm using Toast 10 (v10.0.9) on a new iMac running Mac OS 10.11.6. So it takes 2 blinks instead of 1 blink to do some of the tasks and encoding - less toxic waste in the landfills, money is tight everywhere, and take some time to enjoy life! I know, I know, I should upgrade to the Intel Macs, but this PowerBook G4 works quite nicely and I would like to get a normal lifetime out of it. So if you made this mistake, for now, remove Toast and the 10.0.4 update, (although you may want to grab some of the templates and other goodies?) and you can find the 10.0.2 update via the Brits!! Thanks Mister Cookie? See his lifesaving post under Toast 10, topic "Roxio if 10.0.3 did have the Blu-Ray bug post a link for 10.0.2" If you scroll down you will find the links (the one ending in id=164) I copied and pasted into new window and it worked nicely - was able to download on my PowerBook G4 running Tiger 10.4.11, and installed and runs quite nicely again - WHEW!!!! Roxio meanwhile simply said "the software update 10.0.2 is no longer available" !!!! It runs quite nicely, thank you, with lovely Blu Ray discs (no chapter markers from FCP, of course). I know, I know, Roxio says Toast 10 is not supported for Tiger, but the fact is that up to 10.0.2 ![]() Boilerplate form-letter emails sure don't solve the problem.ĭid you see my post about going to Roxio's software updates page and downloading the Toast 10.0.8 update? It replaces what you downloaded when you bought Toast.Warning, I and apparently many other PPC Tiger users running Toast 10.0.2 saw the most recent 'software update' v10.0.4 available when we opened Toast, and mistakenly downloaded the update and installed it, only to discover THEN that it would not run on Tiger 10.4.11. Guess I'll have to keep checking back here to see if anybody figures out Roxio's screw-up on their own and we can get a solution. Looks like $95 down the drain while I waste even more time simply trying to get a product I paid a lot of money for to work. ![]() I sent an email to support, predictably they sent back a boilerplate email warning about download accelerators and firewalls. Between the hidden "beta" status of the first purchased version to this nonsense, I'm rapidly losing faith in this software. Now every time I download the DMG, it won't open and says "not recognized". Said my version (10) that I purchased last week was a beta and "expired" (didn't realize Toast was a "tethered" product) and decided to delete the install and re-download from Digital River since I only purchased it last week. ![]()
